I was missing Intellisense, Format Selection and Format Document for Sharepoint aspx pages in Visual Studio 2010. A colleague pointed out that if you:
select the default “Web Form Editor (Default)”
- click “Yes” to close and reopen the file
Then it should magically get pretty pretting formatting and intellisense back again. Hooray!
